The Quartz Epoxy Self-Leveling Floor Kit is a high-performance interior flooring system designed to upgrade concrete surfaces with a durable, seamless, textured quartz finish suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Unlike basic epoxy paint, this system combines a self-leveling epoxy resin with colored quartz sand aggregate that installs easily and transforms ordinary concrete into a long-lasting, functional, and visually appealing floor.
This system is designed as a long-term flooring solution, not a temporary coating and is engineered for durability, safety, and aesthetics.
Each 5-gallon kit covers up to 150 sq ft maximum. Actual coverage may vary based on surface conditions and application thickness. Always plan for additional material.
Trilar Industrial is an authorized distributor of Quartz Epoxy Pro LLC® products. Quartz Epoxy is the manufacturer of this flooring system. Product specifications, performance characteristics, and installation requirements are provided by the manufacturer.
What’s Included in the Kit
-
Self-Leveling Epoxy Resin Base: Specialized formula that flows smoothly across the floor for a uniform surface.
-
Colored Quartz Sand Aggregate (Broadcast): Premium quartz-silica sand granules that embed in the epoxy for texture, color, and resilience.
-
Mixing & Application Components: Resin hardener, detailed instructions, and guidance for surface preparation and installation.
🧱 Self-Leveling System
The epoxy resin is formulated to level itself across the surface, simplifying application even for first-time installers. Unlike traditional epoxy paints, this system behaves more like a pour-on coating, reducing brush or roller marks and creating a flat, professional floor.
🛡 Durability & Impact Resistance
Quartz epoxy flooring has inherent toughness far beyond standard epoxy paint. The quartz particles act as a reinforcement, improving abrasion resistance, impact strength, and longevity — making it appropriate for heavy foot traffic and even light vehicle use.
👣 Slip-Resistant Surface
The quartz aggregate creates a slightly textured surface that naturally enhances grip and reduces slips and falls, even when wet — an important safety feature for garages, kitchens, workshops, and industrial facilities.
🧼 Easy to Clean and Maintain
Once cured, quartz epoxy floors form a nearly seamless surface with minimal joints or seams where dirt can collect. This makes cleanup fast and inexpensive — important for commercial and industrial customers.
🌀 Chemical & Stain Resistance
Quartz epoxy systems resist a range of chemicals, oils, solvents, and cleaners. This makes them ideal for environments where spills and harsh substances are common — automotive shops, labs, warehouses, etc.
🏡 Versatile Aesthetics
Colored quartz granules come in a range of tones (often customizable) that can match brand colors, facility décor, or functional zoning markings. The result is both functional and visually appealing.
Performance Comparison
| Feature | Quartz Epoxy System | Standard Epoxy Paint |
|---|---|---|
| Durability | Very high — quartz reinforces structure | Moderate — buoyed by resin quality |
| Slip Resistance | High — textured finish | Low-medium (smooth surface) |
| Chemical Resistance | Excellent | Good-fair |
| Appearance | Decorative, consistent texture | Solid color, plain finish |
| Ease of Cleaning | Seamless, easy | Seamless, easy |
Quartz epoxy flooring outperforms basic epoxy paints in slip resistance, durability, and aesthetic appeal — key selling points when differentiating products for industrial and commercial buyers.
Typical Applications
This flooring system is engineered to perform in spaces where both durability and aesthetics matter for all interior spaces:
-
Residential: Garage floors, basements, entryways
-
Commercial: Retail showrooms, offices, restaurants
-
Industrial: Warehouses, manufacturing areas, automotive service zones
-
Institutional: Locker rooms, schools, healthcare facilities
-
Other: Showrooms, storage areas, workshop floors
Installation & Performance Notes
✔ Fast Installation: The self-leveling formula is easier to install than layered broadcast systems — great for weekend projects or professional crews.
✔ Rapid Cure Time: Floors are typically walkable within approximately 24 hours and reach full service readiness after 5 days, depending on environmental conditions.
✔ Surface Preparation is Critical: As with all resinous flooring systems, successful performance depends on proper surface prep (clean, profiled concrete).
Why Quartz Epoxy Over Other Floor Systems?
-
Better Slip Resistance: Because of quartz texture, safer than smooth epoxy paints.
-
Greater Durability: Quartz-Silica Sand granules make the floor more abrasion-resistant than many epoxy or vinyl options.
-
Aesthetic Customization: Granule colors add visual depth and design flexibility.
-
Long-Term Value: Though initial cost can be higher than basic coatings, reduced maintenance and extended life make quartz epoxy cost-effective over time.
Specifications & Technical Details

-
Chemical & Stain Resistance: High
-
Slip Resistance: Moderate to high (textured surface)
-
Fast Application: Single Coat in most applications
-
Cure Time: Walk on ~24 hours, full cure in ~72 hours under proper conditions
Package Sizes & Coverage Guidance
-
Kit Size / Coverage Area: Coverage varies depending on application thickness, surface profile, and broadcast rate. Each 5-gallon bucket is estimated to cover 125-150sqft.
-
Suitable For: Residential / Commercial / Industrial floors
-
Finish: Textured quartz sand surface
-
Recommended Tools: Squeegee, roller, mixing drill, floor grinder, concrete cleaner
Surface Preparation
The substrate must be smooth, sound, and properly leveled. All cracks, pits, holes, and surface defects must be repaired and filled prior to application. Thoroughly clean the floor using an appropriate concrete cleaner to remove dust, grease, oil, and contaminants. Ensure the surface is completely dry and free of debris before application.
Application Method
Mix Component A and Component B at the ration listed on the product bucket. Once mixed, the material has a working (pot) life of approximately 20–30 minutes, depending on ambient temperature.
Pour the mixed material onto the prepared surface and apply using a scraper or squeegee to achieve a uniform thickness. After spreading, use a spiked roller (bubble roller) multiple times to release trapped air and eliminate surface bubbles.
Maintain adequate ventilation during application and curing. Allow the coating to cure in a dry, well-ventilated environment for a minimum of 72 hours before placing the surface into service.
Environmental & Safety Conditions
-
Application temperature: Above 41°F (5°C)
